TUTORIAL 3: Felt Lined Phone Case Project

Using the wool felt you can make this quick and easy felt phone case which will help to protect your phone screen from scratches and just make it to look nice and special. As long as you can sew in a straight line you can make this case.

Supplies:
Scissor
Some pins
Wool felt in 2 colours
Ribbon self-adhesive
Thread in 2 colors (I prefer the same ones like felt, but you can use any of your choice)
Steps:
1. Get two different colors of wool felt, a scissor and some pins.
2. Cut the felt of first color in half, so the phone will fit more than twice in one piece.
3. Cut the pieces in the size of your phone plus 1 cm all around (place you phone on top of the felt square as per the picture, fold the felt over it and add approx. 1 cm extra to the right of the phone).
4. Put the pieces on top of each other and put your phone in the middle.
5. Cut the appliqué your like from the 2nd felt color (I just draw this H-letter symbol).
6. Pin the felt H-letter symbol to the phone case and sew them together using an appropriate tread color (I used yellow).
7. Cut the self-adhesive ribbon (x 2). It should be the same width like your phone case + 4mm.
8. Now pin the sides with your phone still inside the felt pieces. Pin it pretty tight, because it will be a bit less tight when it's sewn together.
9. Take your phone out and stitch the pinned parts.
10. Cut the felt about 2mm. from the stitched sides.

All done!
